REVIEW: A God awful 'Cliche' driven thriller 'Ice-Fall' streaming online

Synopsis: A young Native American game warden (Ani) and an infamous poacher (Harlan) are forced to team up to prevent a group of criminals from retrieving millions of dollars from a crashed plane beneath a frozen lake.

The synopsis is great. But - this film is a bad "cliche" from start to finish. The story is set in the cold winter mountains of Montana. Ani (Carla Jade Myers) claims to be a Blackfoot Indian. Harlen (Joel Kinnaman) is a mysterious poacher who is haunted by the passing of his Indian girlfriend.

Ani and Harlen meet up on a frozen lake which breaks before the spring thaw. He has one black case full of money that he found in this lake near a crashed plane. It is under water which also carries more cases of money. Five months ago. A group of thieves stole this money and put electronic trackers on each black case. These thieves show up and receive help from an Indian partner who was part of their group. He has no name who became a preacher.

There are two big holes in this story. After five months. Why didn't this Indian thief search for that plane? He is supposed to be this excellent tracker too. Also, the leader of the thieves has a GPS on his iPhone. Why didn't he just track the plane when the ice breaks? All of the characters are not fleshed out either. Especially Harlen who is the male lead. He takes a back seat for most of the movie.

I was expecting a cat-and-mouse thriller on the frozen ice. Because that is what is shown to us in the excellent movie trailer. Don't get me started on Harlen and his Blackfoot Indian vision quest. The Native-Indigenous cliches are laughable too. C'mon.!!... A peace-pipe? Really?

Japan's Takashi Yamazaki will bring sequel 'Godzilla Minus-0' to theaters late 2026

GODZILLA MINUS-ONE from TOHO STUDIOS (2023). It was directed by Japan's Takashi Yamazaki and became a $113 million box office hit. It won the "Oscar" as "Best Visual Effects" (2024).

Takashi announced there will be a sequel coming in late 2026 called, "Godzilla Minus-Zero." Fans are excited about this news. 

I walked into a movie theater to watch "Godzilla Minus-One" and it was excellent.

Sky Cinema Action 'Thieves Highway' streaming November 2025

THIEVES HIGHWAY from SKY CINEMA (2025). I did a little research since there is no information from the trailer. This looks like an online streaming site which runs film & TV content. 

"Thieves" is an original Sky Cinema production. 

It is just like the channel "Tubi" which also produces their own original content. Online streaming is the new "B-Movie" and second rate "TV shows." 

Kind-Of-Like when B-Movies went straight-to-home-video and/or DVD. Content not produced by the Hollywood studios. 

"Thieves Highway" looks like a good action movie starring Aaron Eckhart.

Classic Podcast '48 Hours' episode 'Collision Course' 2013

NOTE: I recall this episode which I watched numerous times. I recorded it and this guy is a manipulative killer. His interview with Susan Spencer looks innocent, but he is also creepy. You can hear it in his voice too.
