The Bill Cosby timeline of 2 trials, 1 conviction and release from prison.
2004 - Andrea Constand claimed that Bill Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her.
2005 - Andrea waited a full year before speaking in public about that assault. She continued to be in contact with Cosby and didn't file a police report. The District Attorney did not charge Cosby.
2006 - Andrea filed a civil lawsuit against Cosby for sexual battery and defamation. A confidential agreement was accepted by both parties when Cosby gave a 4-hour deposition. He admitted to affairs with young women going back 50 years. The case was settled for $3.4 million that was paid to Andrea from Cosby.
2015 - The Statute-of-Limitations was going to expire within days on aggravated sexual assault. Andrea's case was re-opened in the state of Pennsylvania. Cosby was charged and pled "not guilty." He always maintained that the sex with Andrea was consensual.
2017 - The first trial. 60 women came forward in the news. They accused Cosby of sexual assault reaching back to the 1960's. None of their allegations were entered into Cosby's trial. The Jury dead-locked and the judge dismissed Andrea's case.
2018 - The second trial. The judge allowed 5 of Cosby's female accusers to testify against him. One witness testified in Cosby's defense. She accused Andrea of "saying" that she wanted to "frame" Cosby back in 2005.
2018 - Cosby was convicted on 3 counts of aggravated indecent assault. He received 10 years in prison.
2021 - The Bill Cosby conviction was vacated by a Pennsylvania supreme court. When Cosby spoke in his 2006 deposition. It was a confidential agreement. He was promised by the 2006 district attorney that Cosby would never be charged. That "promise" was never put in-writing.... Cosby's deposition was sealed - but the $3.4 million settlement in 2006 was allowed in the 2018 trial.
The Statute-of-Limitations on sexual assault has expired with all of Cosby's female accusers. That includes Andrea's case which has now been over-turned. Cosby is a free man....

DATELINE on NBC. It is Summer 2021 and the Tokyo Olympic games were cancelled for a year because of COVID-19 (2020).
The U.S. Olympic Trials are in it's 2nd week. The broadcast will run during Prime-time this Friday night on June 25, 2021 - (8/7 to 11/10 p.m.).
"Dateline" will be pre-empted by these trials.

Top Box Office Week-ending June 20, 2021 - Estimated
The 48 HOURS (CBS) episode called, "Justice for Ahmaud" that aired on Saturday night (5/22/2021) at 10/9 p.m. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 1.28 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.1 million TV viewers in the all important 18-49 adult demographic. "The Good Doctor" (ABC) grabbed 1.15 overall & 0.2 with adults. "U.S. Olympic Trials" (NBC) nabbed 2.37 overall & 0.5 with adults.
This is a repeat segment. There will be no TV recap.
