'Dateline' death in the smoky mountains turns into murder

"Dateline" (NBC) can be seen each Friday evening at 9/8 p.m. It aired in Albuquerque, NM at 8 p.m. (central time) on KOB 4. Last night's episode on Oct. 22, 2016 was called, "Secrets in the Smoky Mountains." In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 5.32 million TV viewers overall. It reached 1.0 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic (9-11 p.m.). "Hawaii Five-0" (CBS) grabbed 9.30 overall & 1.1 with adults. “Shark Tank" (ABC) nabbed 5.36 overall & 1.2 with adults.

“Dateline” is an investigative program focusing on crime & murder in the United States. The reporter and narrator of this episode is Keith Morrison.

Secrets in the Smoky Mountains.” Bob met Martha and were married in Florida 1995. They moved to the state of Tennessee. Bob's dead body was found in May of 2006. He had a prescription bottle in one hand and a gun in the other hand. That gun wasn't used, but it looked like a suicide by an overdose of pills. He suffered from PTSD after the Vietnam war. Bob's sister believed he would never commit suicide.

Chuck was Bob's best friend who found his dead body. Martha and Chuck became a couple several months after Bob's death. She then claimed that she got a job with the FBI. She and Chuck began traveling around the U.S. They both were investigated by the government and then Martha's son found some disturbing photos of his dead father Bob.
