It accumulated $17 million at the international market. The production budget climbed to $40 million. It stars Matthew McConaughey who portrays an L.A., defense attorney named Mick Haller.
A nightclub prostitute was murdered a few years back. A Latino male is charged who claims his innocence. Mick makes a deal and the Latino gets life in prison with a chance of parole after 15 years. Mick is then hired by a handsome blond male who is charged with beating and raping a nightclub prostitute. There is a realization that Mick might be used and he discovers that his former Latino client might be innocent. The cards are stacked against Mick who sits in the back of his Lincoln car and thinks. It's a mystery...,
