United Kingdom eases restrictions and reaches out to Tom Cruise 'Mission Impossible 7'

COVID-19 had closed down film and TV production in many countries including the U.K. The pandemic is under control in England and the restrictions are being lifted. Movie and TV productions can resume and Hollywood had always had a presence in the U.K.

"Mission Impossible 7" was shut down in Europe in 2019. The Culture Secretary named Oliver Dowden has reached out to Tom Cruise about resuming production on MI-7.

Deadline Hollywood says, "The government said that Dowden contacted Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise last week about the plans and spoke about how Mission Impossible 7 and 8 can resume filming at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden."

"Cast and crew on the production had previously said that filming could re-start in September but UK tabloid The Sun claims that Cruise is already in prep in the country, which could indicate an earlier re-start. We have reached out to Paramount."
