Supreme Court overturns 'Roe V. Wade' by striking down Abortion

Friday June 24, 2022. The United States Supreme Court has ruled in a 5-3 vote to overturn "Roe V. Wade." Protections on Abortion has been stripped away and now U.S. states can ban it.

The five Justices who voted to overturn "Roe V. Wade" are Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett. The last 3 Justices were appointed by former President Donald Trump.

The three Liberal Justices who "dissented" are Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.

It appears that Justice John Roberts remained neutral and didn't vote to overturn.

"Roe V. Wade" has been in place since 1973. Under its' provisions was the right for any woman to control her own body. Also, the right to privacy and the freedom of choice.

Clinics in five U.S. States have already stopped performing abortions as this decision was handed down. Those states include, Alabama, Kentucky, Missouri, Wisconsin and West Virginia. 

The Supreme Court in 2022 - Have set women back a century where they have no rights under U.S. Law.
