'Dateline' Revisits brutal 1989 Menendez murders

Dateline” (NBC) can be seen each Friday evening at 9/8 p.m. It aired at 8 p.m. (central time) on the Albuquerque TV station KOB 4. Last night’s episode on Nov. 17, 2017 was called, “Unthinkable: The Menendez Murders.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 4.28 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.9 million TV viewers in the all-important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “Hawaii Five-0” (CBS) grabbed 9.11 overall & 1.0 with adults. “Once upon a time” nabbed 2.01 overall & 0.4 with adults.  

“Dateline” is a TV show focusing on crime and murder in the United States. Last night’s episode was reported and narrated by Keith Morrison. 

“Unthinkable: The Menendez Murders.” Beverly Hills, California 1989. Lyle and Erik Menendez both had killed their parents. They were young, handsome and rich. Both had claimed, “not guilty” before a judge. Their whole court trial was the first to be televised on live cable TV. It shocked America and the murders are still talked about in 2017. Lyle and Erik were convicted in the killing of their parents.

Keith Morrison talks to the original police investigators, lawyers and everyone connected to the Menendez family. The brutal crime scene was also re-visited. Keith interviews Lyle Menendez who sits in prison for the rest of his life.
