“Dateline” (NBC) can be seen each Monday evening at 10/9 p.m. It aired at 9 p.m. (mountain time) on the Albuquerque TV station KOB 4. Last night’s episode on Aug. 6, 2018 was called, “A Mother’s Mission.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 4.04 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.7 million TV viewers in the all-important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “Elementary” (CBS) grabbed 3.38 overall & 0.3 with adults. “The Bachelorette” (ABC) nabbed 6.71 overall & 1.8 with adults (series finale).
“Dateline” is a TV show focusing on crime and murder in the United States. Last night’s episode was reported and narrated by Meghan Kelly.
“A Mother’s Mission.” Catherine Oxenberg had written a book about her daughter India. “Captive: A Mother's Crusade to Save Her Daughter from a Terrifying Cult.”
The group was called, “NXIVM” that was run by Keith Raniere who called his seminars, “Executive Success Programs.” It was a self-help program that Catherine questioned from the beginning when she witnessed female members kissing Raniere on the lips. Catherine quit because she was fed up. India stayed on and became a self-help coach. She then moved out of state to be next to Raniere. Catherine couldn’t stop her daughter. She heard later from a former member that Raniere created a female “sex cult.” Can she save her daughter?
