'48 Hours' episode 'The Hollywood Ripper' nabs 3.23 TV Ratings Overall

The 48 HOURS (CBS) episode called, "The Hollywood Ripper" aired Saturday night (9/14/2019) at 9/8 p.m. It was reported on by Maureen Maher. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 3.27 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.4 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "College Football" (ABC) grabbed 3.44 overall & 0.8 with adults. "Dateline" (NBC) 2.21 overall & 0.4 with adults.

The second hour of "48 Hours" at 10 p.m. It moved up to 3.27 with overall TV ratings. This was a 2-hour season premiere (Fall 2019).   

"The Hollywood Ripper." California. Michael Gargiulo was called a serial thrill killer. He had stalked and killed three young women with a knife. It began in 2001 in Hollywood, then El Monte and finally at Santa Monica. The first woman had a hang out date with actor, Ashton Kutcher. When he showed up at her house. The lights were on, but no one was home.  

1993 in the city of Chicago. A young woman was stabbed to death in front of her house. Her parents claim she had no enemies at all. Michael Garguilo had known the family since he was in 2nd grade. He had lived up the street. Was that the beginning of his crime spree?
