'48 Hours' episode 'The Murder of Mandy Stavik' hits 3.27 TV Ratings Overall

The 48 HOURS (CBS) episode called, "The Murder of Mandy Stavik" aired Saturday night (11/30/2019) at 10/9 p.m. In the overnight TV ratings. It garnered 3.27 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.5 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "College Football" (ABC) grabbed 1.98 overall and 0.5 with adults (8-11 p.m.). "It's a Wonderful Life" nabbed 2.84 overall & 0.3 with adults (8 to 11 p.m.).

"The Murder of Mandy Stavik." Acme, Washington. November 1989. Mandy went out for a run with her dog who never returned. Her dog did return though. Mandy's dead body was later found floating in a local river. There were no suspects for 25 years and a local killer ran free. 

Investigators traced Mandy's final run who was 1/8-of-a-mile from her home when she was abducted. Police believe she was confronted with a gun and forced into a vehicle. She was sexually assaulted and tried to run away from her killer. She was bludgeoned on the head and dumped into the river to drown "in" death.

DNA was collected from Mandy's body and it took decades for a match to a male.
