TOKYO-OLYMPICS 2021. After 33 years. The women's 100 meter Olympic Record has been beat. American Florence Griffith-Joyner (Flo-Jo) set that record of 10.62 at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
Jamaican Elaine Thompson-Herah has set a new record of 10.61 at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She also defended her Olympic title from the 2016 Rio Olympics. Elaine goes into the record books.
Flo-Jo still holds the world record with 10.49 that she set during the U.S. Olympic trials in 1988.
