According to "Box Office Mojo" that tracks box office receipts." The animated film, "Princess Mononoke" (1997) grabbed $169,971,552 at the worldwide box office. It finally reached the United States in 1999. I walked into an independent movie theater at Los Angeles to watch it... I absolutely enjoyed every bit of it.
"Mononoke" will be re-released into movie theaters on Aug. 5 2023. Check it out.
