AGT has seen dozens of contortionist dancers who audition. Most of them are just one person who can transform their whole bodies into multiple positions.
The group called, "Atai" took contortion to a whole other level. They auditioned in season 18 (2023). All of the dancers were Zombies who scared the audience. They were fantastic.
The four judges voted "Atai" into the next round. Unfortunately, they were cut in the "deliberations" phase and never reached the semi-finals.
The AGT judges have to make tough decisions after the audition phase. Can a talent act step it up or just be a one note performer? Can they be a $1 million dollar act?
