1950's French Beauty 'Brigitte Bardot' dies at 91

Bridgitte Bardot was a French actress and singer. She was catapulted into stardom with the film, "And God Created Woman" (1956). It was a box office smash around the world. She was labeled a "Sex Kitten" because of her sensual beauty. She would later become an award winning actress. After retirement from the movies. She became an animal activist.

She was the only French "Star" of her era who optimized glamour. For me - it was her long hair that flowed beautifully around her face.

Decades before the Internet. Movie Stars were created through the film lens. The viewing public made you a celebrity. Bardot became an international star.
