Good Modern Western 'Thieves Highway' Streaming at 'Amazon Prime' 4-out-of-5 Stars *

THIEVES HIGHWAY from VERTICAL (2025). This was released in limited movie theaters. It didn't open here at Albuquerque, NM.

You can rent it on AMAZON PRIME ($9.99). You can also buy it for ($14.99). I rented it because I loved the movie trailer.

If anybody knows me. I love westerns and "Thieves" is a modern one (2025). You have to watch it like an old TV western. That's the appreciation effect.

The story is simple.... Cattle livestock is big business among those who want to sell them illegally. Back in the day - it was called, "cattle rustling." Frank Bennett (Aaron Eckhart) is a livestock investigator who comes upon five men stealing cattle. They head for the Texas border. Frank's partner is killed as he runs for help. There is no iPhone signal in this remote area. Even the CB radio has partial communication. Frank has to use his instincts and wit to catch the thieves. He has no truck and no horse for that matter.

I loved the diner with that old land line phone. What I saw coming though was that hot coffee. Plus, the editing of the fight scene could've been tighter. Nonetheless - It's a throwback to westerns of old television. Check it out if you want.
