Reports of Casting Scams Targeting Performers....

SAG-AFTRA is aware of reports of individuals falsely claiming to be casting legitimate productions who are, in fact, attempting to scam performers."

SAG-AFTRA says, Please be aware of the following red flags....

• Asking you to send money — you should never pay for a job.
• Asking you to contribute to travel or upfront costs.
• Claiming they must pay a fee to SAG-AFTRA on your behalf — SAG-AFTRA will never ask a third party to pay a joining fee on your behalf.
• Emails impersonating SAG-AFTRA staff  — any email communication from a SAG-AFTRA representative will only be sent via the official sagaftra.org email domain and never from a personal email address.
