The Hunt (Feature Film) Casting Call

The Hunt is a micro-budget feature film about a man who is paid one million dollars to be hunted for seven days.

We are currently seeking to fill 2 roles for the film.

Luke

A man in his mid 20s to early 30s, Luke is a wealthy hunter. The character has a bit of an edge to him and loves to hunt.

Thomas

Thomas is in his late 20s to mid 30s and enjoys the thrill of the hunt, he’s also a wealthy hunter and is more “level headed” than Luke.

Actors of all experience levels are encouraged to submit resumes and headshots.

Exact schedule is not available yet, but shooting will primarily take place during the week and on some weekends when actors and locations are available; goal of wrapping up filming by the end of September 2014. We’re hoping to organize the shooting days so some of the actors will only be needed for a few days of filming.

All roles are volunteer, actors will be paid however on a deferred basis and receive credit. This is a non-union show. Meals will be provided to the cast and crew.

SICARIO film seeks old cars & trucks for film.

EG Casting will be hiring around 150 people with older model cars and trucks to work for one week in mid to late Aug. These are paid positions. The movie is called Sicario and it stars Benicio del Toro, Emily Blunt and Josh Brolin.

The second TRIBAL COP screenplay table read coming Fall 2014.

I was quite surprised by the reaction to my first actor table read of TRIBAL COP last February 2014. I did a "google" search on the title & people with blogs & websites posted my table read information post card. I lost count...,Thank you all very much. The interest in Native films is big & I'm trying to get something written that's modern with a good murder mystery. 

Some people aren't going to like it because it isn't what they imagined and what I say is, "Tough Booties." I think I got a good story. Right now, I am starting up on my next round of rewrites which makes for a better screenplay. I will plan on a second table read this Fall 2014. I will also announce plans for my mystery thriller at that time. Moving forward. - Roscoe Pond

Heart Girl: Has locked away her traumatizing past. Now that she has found love, the vault of emotions are open. Overwhelmed by this new experience, her heart explodes. With no human emotion she will have to work by brain function to convince the spirits to return her heart.

Box Man: The guilt and shame of abandoning his family, leave a bit of poison in his food. With his failed decaying restaurant, he hides behind a masks awaiting for a costumer to accept his fault of a chef.

Meat Man: Sexually abused by past lovers, his delusions created the belief that his act of murder was a purification of their faults. Like a happy boy crushing bugs, his demented routine formed a darker hole of social handicap.

Lady of Ink: A spirit that has lost her daughter. With no affection from her husband, she traps her self in books pretending that she lives in her favorite stories.

Flower Girl: A 14 year old spirit that believes she is a flower goddess. Because of the lack of family that she has in her childhood. She runs down halls to listen to other peoples life through the door. She dreams of finding family love.

Bar Man: 35 Native America rock star, who send his days getting drunk on fine saki, and insulting Box Man.

Girl Friend: 19-27 Beautiful Native American model, who has shown Heart Girl how to love.

Grumpy White Man: 50-60s with a 8hr job he hates he takes his aggression out on his wife.

Sad White Woman: 50-60s a stay home wife, she awaits for her husband to come home only for him to take his aggression out on her.

TRIBAL COP cinematographer moves on.

Hello Everyone -- Just when I was getting started on TRIBAL COP. It's a good sign too because it wasn't working with my current rewrites.

Dave who signed on as my Cinematographer had to drop out because of a better offer in Los Angeles. He landed a TV production where he can qualify to get into the Cinematographer's union. And when he gets in - He'll make big bucks $$$$..., I'm happy for Dave who said he will try to get someone else to work on my film TRIBAL COP. He has to move onto bigger things & I'm happy for him.

With that, we had problems with my screenplay which changed drastically to lower the budget. It just wasn't working for me or anyone else. So, Dave's quitting is a blessing in disguise. I will go back to my original script and continue to work on making it an "A" production.

The rewrites helped because I got to work on the dialogue with all the characters. All my action sequences & other characters are back to be developed even more. I have to put it down for a bit. I'm "dizzy" rewriting. -- A big thanks to all the actors & actresses at my actor table read of TRIBAL COP. It helped more than they know.

I have other projects I'm working on as a writer & actor. So, stay tuned. TRIBAL COP is not dead yet. It's just gonna get better.

I'm gonna have a pizza to gain back the 12 pounds I lost for this project.

TRIBAL COP will continue to be revised. The story is still intact even though the scenes, characters & dialogue had been reworked.

Again, the budget has transformed my screenplay & it is a good thing. I went over to the Sandia resort & casino yesterday & the locale is great.

Roscoe Pond on lack of lead roles for Native American men.

I wrote TRIBAL COP back in 2010 because of the lack of lead roles for Native American men in Hollywood. I scheduled my actor table read earlier this year because I wanted to get things done instead of just sitting around & waiting for what?

After the table read - I realized that TRIBAL COP isn't perfect & needed more rewrites. But, it has to move forward whether good or bad. I believe it is a worthy mystery based on the story laid out. I am proud of TRIBAL COP & if it isn't seen by a mass audience. Then that's okay. At least I am doing it..., Here we go!

Roscoe Pond loses 10 pounds for lead role in TRIBAL COP.

Filming of TRIBAL COP will begin June 2014. All the major cutaways & exterior shots will be done first. Plus, all of the major scenes with Roscoe Pond as lead tribal cop named, Stephan. We will take this each day as it comes. There will be no rushing. Each shot has to be important. Roscoe has been working out at the gym & has lost 10 pounds for the lead role of Stephan.

Roscoe will contact each actor & actress concerning their parts by July 4, 2014. It will be kept under wraps for contracts & scheduling purposes. Stephan's sister named Maggie will expand & Roscoe will contact 5 native actresses he wants to read for the part. That includes Cindy Long who read Maggie's part at the table read last February. So, stay tuned..., Remember, this an Ultra, Ultra-Low budget production & cast discussions will obviously be vital. RP

TRIBAL COP characters and action scenes cut because of budget

Native actor - Rog Benally did a wonderful job reading the second lead role as Luke Byers at the TRIBAL COP table read. I made the tough decision to drop the character all together because of budget concerns. I also cut Uncle Clarence & forensic specialist named Kathy. The major car crash scenes had to be cut too. Again, all because of budget concerns. I will contact Lynnette who read Kathy's role & Ernest Tsosie who read as uncle Clarence.
