CBS "Elementary" moves to it's new night on Sunday March 20, 2016

ELEMENTARY on CBS. The Sherlock Holmes & Joan Watson investigating team moves to Sunday March 20, 2016 at 10/9 p.m. It is making room for a new TV show called, "Rush Hour" which will air on Thursday night's at 10/9 p.m. CBS believes that "Elementary" fans will follow the TV show where ever it goes. They have been promoting it's move to Sunday night on Facebook. Some fans think it is a move which might be the death of the show. I disagree. I think it has another 2 more good years because it has solid TV ratings & hardcore fans to help keep it going.

Below is the very first trailer 4 years ago when we were all introduced to Sherlock & Watson. Boy, how time flies.

BOSCH goes head to head with FBI on producer's death

BOSCH on AMAZON. (S02E02). This is based on the best selling novels by Michael Connelly. The FBI is very quiet on their surveillance of porn producer Anthony Allen. He was shot dead on a highway plus thrown into the trunk of his car. Bosch & Jerry find that an FBI task-force planted bugs in Anthony's office. The lead investigator is a jackass & tells Bosch that they were following Anthony for possible terrorism. He won't hand over evidence either & the tension is at an all time high. (This is the first time someone says the line, "need-to-know basis" with conviction, anger & authority. The line is always used as a terrible Cliche' because it is an overused Cliche'). 

Bosch gets a call from an LA times reporter who writes a blog on Homicides. She wants to know about his mom who was murdered many years ago. It apparently wasn't solved & it interests Bosch a little. The medical examiner shows Harry & Jerry fingerprints from a man & a woman on Anthony's suit jacket. It shows that he might have been picked up & thrown into his car trunk. 

The sitting LA mayor named Hector asks Irvin Irving for his police endorsement. They all know Richard O'Shea had already asked him for an endorsement if O'shea becomes mayor. Irvin does pull some strings with the FBI & hands over audio surveillance to Bosch, but that's it. He has to go to Las Vegas where Anthony had an office who picked young stripper girls to bring into the porn industry. 

There is a lot going on in this second episode other than what I wrote here. So, check it out because the murder of Bosch's mother is intriguing.

$2 Hamburgers at the Sandia Indian Casino P'A SHUR deli

Sandia Resort & Casino has not announced their discounts on food for the month of March 2016. The official website says that they sold $2 Hamburgers & $2 Shrimp baskets with French Fries last February. For information please call 505-796-7500. The P'A Shur Deli is still giving away free soft drinks though.

CBS "48 Hours" Should David Temple get a new trial?

48 HOURS on CBS. Did you watch last night's episode called, "Playing by the rules?." Boy, what a tough case, but David Temple won his hearing to possibly get a new trial. It is now up to the Texas court of appeals. It all boiled down to whether a prosecuting attorney withheld evidence during David's 2007 murder trial. He was convicted of killing his wife Belinda & their unborn child back in 1999. He got a life sentence in prison.

Kelly Siegler defended her job as prosecutor during that trial & says the defense got all the evidence they deserved under Texas law. A 16-year-old male stole his dad's shotgun which is similar to the gun that killed Belinda. The murder weapon was never found & so it wasn't entered in as evidence. That young male was never looked at as a suspect even though he co-operated with police & took the witness stand. 

Everybody is angry at Kelly Siegler who still thinks David killed his wife to be with a beautiful blonde teacher. There are former high school students of David who also think he belongs in prison. His new defense lawyers are taking it very personal & blame Siegler who is no longer a prosecutor. David's case was very circumstantial because there is no evidence putting him at the crime scene. There is also no evidence putting that 16-year-old at the crime scene either. 12 jurors believed that David killed his wife back in 2007. The Texas court of appeals can make a decision at any time on David's case.

BOSCH returns and there is a murder of a porn producer

BOSCH is streaming online at AMAZON. (S02E01). Based on the best selling novels by Michael Connelly. Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) returns after a 6 month leave of absence. He is questioned over the death of a cop when a serial killer got loose. Harry was ordered by an ambitious District Attorney Richard O'Shea, to un-cuff that killer during transport. He makes a promise that when he becomes mayor, Irvin Irving will be appointed Chief of Police. Irvin is Harry's big boss.

Bosch & Jerry (Jamie Hector) are partnered up again when a porn producer is found murdered inside a trunk. They go to see the producer's widow Veronica (Jeri Ryan) who lives in a beautiful house. She performed in only one porn movie when she married her producer. She is a beautiful blonde who doesn't show any emotions when questioned about her husband's murder.

Harry is smart & knows crime scenes where everything is important beyond evidence. Him & Jerry look at the security cameras inside the producers work place. Two masked men are seen going into the office & debugging it. Over $240,000 is found inside that producer's car.

CBS "Hawaii Five-0" Steve didn't know Catherine is an undercover operative

HAWAII FIVE-0 on CBS. Did you watch last night's episode called, "WaiWai?." Steve finds out that Catherine is an undercover operative in the Ukraine. Chin Ho doesn't know that Abby has been spying on him & the "Five-0" team. Steve finds out though that a prosecuting attorney is investigating them all. A drop dead Russian spy comes to the island & it opens the door on what Catherine has been doing. Lou has the funniest lines when he's serious. Great writing for his character.

NBC "Dateline" A military wife is stabbed to death inside her home

DATELINE on NBC. Did you watch last night's episode called, "Deadly Devotion?." Sadly, a military wife didn't really know her husband at all. While she working in another country. He was re-living his youth and eventually gets another woman pregnant. It all leads to murder.

CBS "Elementary" Sherlock & Watson find a "glowing dog" involved in murder

ELEMENTARY on CBS. Remember everyone, this TV show moves to Sunday night's on March 20, 2016 at 10/9 p.m. Did you watch last night's episode called, "Hounded?." Sherlock & Watson find a genetic glowing dog named, Cornwall. Charles Baskerville was chased off a cliff to his death by a "glowing dog." At least that's what a homeless man claims.

"CBS This Morning" previews "48 Hours" with a showdown in the courtroom

48 HOURS on CBS. "The Guessing Game" is now re-titled, "Playing by the Rules?" It airs Saturday night on March 12, 2016 at 10/9 p.m. There will be a showdown in the courtroom with an appeal by David Temple. He was convicted of killing his pregnant wife. His lawyers accuse original prosecutor of withholding evidence. Let the games begin.

BOSCH on AMAZON. (S02E01-10). I will TV recap right here on my Blog of each episode. I'm a big fan of the first TV season & even a bigger fan now. This TV crime drama is based on the best selling books by Michael Connelly. It is set in Los Angeles. I used to live in that town and it is so L.A. Harry Bosch is the man.

An all new "48 Hours" Saturday March 12, 2016 on an old murder conviction

48 HOURS on CBS. If this story sounds familiar. It should because the episode was called, "The Guessing Game." It aired in 2008 & then was updated in 2010. A whole new set of Lawyers have been appointed. David Temple wants a new trial 2016 & his defense lawyers accuse Kelly Siegler of withholding evidence. She prosecuted David who was convicted in 2007 for killing his pregnant wife back in 1999. He was having an affair with another woman & married her a year after his wife was killed. There was no evidence putting David at the crime scene. His wife was shot in the head inside a closet. Kelly will now have to testify on whether she withheld evidence or not.

The new episode is called "Playing by the Rules?" & it airs Saturday night March 12, 2016 at 10/9 p.m. (My question was always this. Why after 8 years when David goes to prison is he crying big tears for his first wife Belinda? I mean - Big Rolling Teardrops - that fall down his face while being interviewed. He was having an affair at the time of Belinda's death & marries Heather soon after. He didn't even give Belinda a second thought when he was arrested for murder).

Kelly Siegler was a Frickin' Bulldog during the trial of David Temple. She has a new TV show called, "Cold Justice" (TNT) that I recap for Examiner News.

 

"Bosch" returns Friday March 11, 2016 & is receiving great reviews

BOSCH on AMAZON. The 2nd TV season begins Friday March 11, 2016. Get ready to "Binge Watch" a TV crime drama that is getting good reviews. It is based on the Michael Connelly novels & is set inside Los Angeles. We follow an aging detective Harry Bosch who does it his way or no way at all.

"Hawai Five-0" Returns with new episode Friday March 11, 2016

HAWAII FIVE-0 on CBS. (S06E17). The TV crime drama returns with a new episode that airs Friday at 9/8 p.m. The Five-0 team has to protect Catherine who left Steve months ago. She returned last time & Steve was gonna ask her to marry him. She left & he moved on. (I actually liked the female district attorney who is lovely. But, we haven't seen her lately & Steve never connected with her.). Anyway, Catherine returns tomorrow night.

ELEMENTARY on CBS.  The new episode coming Thursday night (10/9 p.m.) is called, "Hounded." Sherlock & Watson investigate the murder of a man who was chased off a cliff. A witness says he saw a large animal chase that man. Was it a large hound dog or a small bear?

Richard Davalos dies at 85, appeared in "East of Eden" & "Cool Hand Luke"

CLASSIC MOVIES. The film is EAST OF EDEN (1955) based on the novel by John Steinbeck. Richard Davalos portrayed the good son. James Dean portrayed the bad son. (Kane & Abel). Richard has nervous breakdown when he realizes he isn't the perfect son. The actor will always be remembered for that role. He was also in COOL HAND LUKE (1967) with Paul Newman. Richard died at age 85. RIP.

"Dateline" Saturday Night Mystery is called "Burning Suspicion"

DATELINE on NBC. This looks like a new episode when NBC usually airs a 2-hour repeat on Saturday nights. 

NBC says "A young wife and mother is found dead after a house fire in a small Kansas town. Investigators question what went wrong. Was it an act of murder? Keith Morrison reports Saturday March 12 at 8/7c."

An all new 'Dateline" Friday March 11, 2016

DATELINE on NBC. The upcoming episode is called, "Deadly Devotion." 

NBC says, "An Army captain, back from serving abroad, is found dead in her El Paso home. The news stuns her tight-knit military community. Her husband has an alibi, but what about her family and friends? Andrea Canning reports on a case with many twists and turns Friday March 11 at 10/9c."

Oregon: 12 minutes in the shooting death of Robert Finicum

NEWS FROM MY HOME STATE OF OREGON. Two videos were released after the investigation into the shooting death of Robert Finicum. Those videos are compiled into one showing Robert willing to die while evading police. Shawna Cox was running her cell camera throughout the whole thing. The sheriff who Robert is talking about is Glenn Palmer who supported the militia cause. He is being scrutinized for it too in Grant County. The public has asked for an investigation into Glenn's involvement with the 41 day standoff. 

Warning: It is a graphic situation with bullets fired in the killing of Robert.

Oregon: Investigation into shooting of Robert Finicum justified

NEWS FROM MY HOME STATE OF OREGON. The investigation into the shooting death of Robert Finicum is complete. Oregon state police were justified in gunning down a man who fled police & reached for a 9 millimeter gun inside his coat. 3 bullets entered Finicum's body which were shot by state police. An FBI agent unloaded his gun, but hit the truck Finicum was driving. That agent lied about firing his weapon & 4 other FBI agents helped cover-up that lie. There will be a separate investigation into what that agent did.

Robert Finicum was the spokesman for the anti-government militia who took over the Mahleur National Wildlife Refuge at Burns, Oregon. He didn't want to surrender to state police when he traveled to John Day, for a meeting. He was blocked on a highway in both directions. He almost hit an FBI agent when he crashed his truck into a snow bank. He got out & was seen on video reaching for a gun inside his coat pocket. That's when state police shot him 3 times.

His followers & family have claimed "an ambush", "a murder" & now "an assassination." Yet, throughout the armed take over of that refuge. He was photographed carrying rifles & was willing to die fighting for a cause that was going nowhere. His family say he was shot 9 times, but didn't reveal their own private autopsy. 25 of the militia were arrested crossing several U.S. states & if convicted, they will spend 6 years in prison on just 1 federal count.

"Finding Nemo" dubbed into Navajo Language premiered at Albuquerque

FINDING NEMO from DISNEY. The 2003 popular animated movie was dubbed into the Navajo language. It held its' premiere last night at Albuquerque. It will open in 9 movie theaters throughout the southwest beginning March 18, 2016.

Native American "Scalped" picked up as pilot for TV series

SCALPED on WGN. The Native American comic book series has been picked up. They will be looking for an all Native cast. It is a modern day revenge type drama which the comic books have made popular. It is of course set on an Indian Reservation. WGN just cancelled MANHATTAN which ran for 2 TV seasons & was filmed entirely at Santa Fe, NM. The cable network is producing more TV shows for its' schedule.

ELEMENTARY on CBS. This week's episode is called, "Hounded" & it airs Thursday night at 10/9 p.m. Sherlock & Watson have their own modern day "Hound of the Baskervilles." 

Remember everyone, "Elementary" moves to Sunday night on March 20, 2106 at 10/9 p.m. It has been re-scheduled to make room for a new TV series called, "Rush Hour."

"Bosch" returns to Amazon for 2nd TV season March 11, 2016

BOSCH on AMAZON. Season 2 will premiere on March 11, 2016. It is based on the mystery books by Michael Connelly & set in Los Angeles. It follows Harry Bosch who is a determined & middle-aged detective. He doesn't like cell phones who carries an old 1990's one. Last TV season, he tracked a serial killer & solved a cold case murder of a teen boy. The mystery drama is the second highest rated show on Amazon Prime Video. (You all know I love a good mystery).

"Someone was out there" returns to #9 in Examiner News rankings

DATELINE on NBC. Sometimes one of my former articles comes back with interest on the Internet. I wrote a preview article on "Dateline's" 2014 episode called, "Someone was out there." There was a homicide in my hometown of Pendleton, Oregon. Keith Morrison reported on the death & the second murder attempt of a woman jogging -- by the same man. That article has returned back into the top #10 in Rankings, landing in at number #9. Thanks for reading my articles.

Oscar nominated film "Embrace of the Serpent" comes to Albuquerque

The Indigenous EMBRACE OF THE SERPENT from the country of Colombia will open at the Guild Cinema in Albuquerque, NM on March 11, 2016. It was nominated for an Oscar as best Foreign Language film for 2015. It lost to "Son of Saul" from the country of Hungary.
