THE KEEPERS on NET-FLIX. (Season 1 Episode 5). 1999. Father
Joseph Maskell was in a hospital in his early 60’s. He was suffering from
dementia. One of his sexual abuse victims, Lillian Hughes, went to see
him. She looked into his eyes and there was nothing there. No life at all.
Maskell passed away in 2001. He was never charged with the sexual abuse of over
100 high school girls. He was also never charged in the murder of Sister Cathy
Cesnik to cover up his alleged abuse. He had been the former chaplain at the
Catholic Archbishop-Keough high school.
Nov. 7, 1969. Margaret was married to Edgar Davidson who had
returned home one night with blood on his white shirt. He was also trying to
pick up girls at Rock Glen middle school one year later. That school was next
to where Cathy Cesnik had lived. He also
gave Margaret a wedding necklace that looked like what Sister Cathy had bought the
night she died.
Billy Schmidt was a neighbor of Sister Cathy Cesnik. He was
obsessed with her death. He committed suicide 5 months after she was murdered. He was only 42-years-old.
His brother Ronald came home with blood on his clothes one night after work. His
wife Barbara says he never drank alcohol. He began drinking heavily after
Cathy’s death. She believes that Ronald helped Billy with Cathy’s dead body.
She was found in a dump between Billy Schmidt’s apartment and the Schmidt
business.
Are these two stories a coincidence? Did Billy and/or Edgar
kill Sister Cathy at the behest of Father Joseph Maskell?
