“One of their own.” June 2001. The
dead bodies of Michael Patten and Lea Ann Brown were found in the
woods. They were both shot and killed execution style. They were also
unidentified and their families had discovered both had gone missing.
Their fears were realized when the dead couple was later identified.
Investigators found that Lea Anne had brushed off a male who was
attracted to her. He was not in the area when she died though. The
shootings were personal and angry with bullets to the heads. They
were not the only two targeted that night. William had gotten
away from an ambush by several men. Were these crimes just deadly random acts?
