“Dateline” (NBC) can be seen each Friday evening at 9/8 p.m. It aired at 8 p.m. (mountain time) on the Albuquerque TV station KOB 4. Last night’s episode on May 11, 2018 was called, “Silent Witness.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 4.16 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.7 million TV viewers in the all-important 18 to 49 adult demographic (9-11 p.m.). “Hawaii Five-0” (CBS) grabbed 7.05 overall & 0.8 with adults. “Agents of Shield” (ABC) nabbed 1.94 overall & 0.5 with adults.
“Dateline” is a TV show focusing on crime and murder in the United States. Last night’s episode was reported and narrated by Andrea Canning.
“Silent Witness.” Greenbay, Wisconsin 2016. Nicole VanderHeyden’s dead body was found inside a barn field. She had left a local bar by herself the night before. Douglass Detrie was her boyfriend who was not with her when she disappeared. Two teen boys found a nude body lying on her stomach in the field. Her hair was filled with blood and the body had severe visible bruises. The field was located in the back of the sheriff’s department. Doug had filed a missing person’s report. There is security footage of Nicole leaving that bar and she was alone. Police concluded that it was Nicole’s dead body. She was killed by blunt force trauma and strangulation. Doug was questioned by police and he became a person-of-interest in Nicole’s death. Did he kill Nicole or was it someone else?
