'Elementary' Joan Watson's real father dies

Elementary” (CBS) can be seen each Monday evening at 10/9 p.m. It can be seen at 9/8 p.m. (mountain time) on the local KRQE station at Albuquerque. Last night’s episode was called, “Once you ruled out God.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 4.56 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.6 million TV viewers in the all important 18-49 adult demographic. “Running wild with Bear Grylls” (NBC) grabbed 3.68 overall & 0.9 with adults. “The Crossing” (ABC) nabbed 3.85 overall & 0.5 with adults.

(The TV crime show is holding steady in the TV ratings with 2nd episode of new season. It is winning with the overall audience on Monday nights.).

“Elementary” stars, Jonny Lee Miller (Sherlock Holmes), Lucy Liu (Joan Watson), Aidan Quinn (Captain Thomas Gregson) and Jon Michael Hill (Detective Marcus Bell).

Once you ruled out God.” A male is struck down on the sidewalk by what appears to be lightning. It is ruled as death by nature. Sherlock looks at the dead body and concludes that the male was murdered by “man-made” lightning. While the investigation gets underway. Sherlock is feeling the strain of his post traumatic concussion. He needs to rest. 

Meanwhile, Watson attends the funeral of her biological father with whom she lost contact a few years back. He was homeless and diagnosed with schizophrenia. Her half-sister finds a letter written by the dad, but it is addressed to Watson. She doesn’t want to read it and throws it into the trash. Sherlock retrieves the letter and persuades Watson to see what the father had to say.
