"Who wanted Howard Pilmar Dead?" New York City 1996. Howard was a successful entrepreneur who had worked late one night in his Manhattan office. He was attacked, his throat slit and stabbed 48 times. Police say it was overkill too because Howard stabbed multiple times after he died.

Roslyn Pilmar and her brother Evan Wald were the last people to see Howard alive. She was found to have embezzled $200,000 from her former employer. Plus, she owed $15,000 in back taxes while working along side Howard in his coffee business. She claimed that she told her husband about the money, but police say it was her motive to murder him. She collected his life insurance worth $1.2 million, two homes and custody of their son. She immediately sold his business after his death.

Both Roslyn and Evan resumed their lives for 20 years until they were arrested.
