48 HOURS on CBS. Harold Dow reported in this Classic episode.... Stephanie Stephens had an affair with a rich surgeon, David Stephens. His then wife Karen had committed suicide over that affair.... Both Stephanie and David married soon after. Then - he died mysteriously.
David's dead body was looked at by a coroner. The blood tests showed that he was injected with a lethal dose of an anesthetic drug.
Stephanie was convicted of 1st degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.... She served only 3 years when she died of double pneumonia in 2006.
