Still waiting on Hollywood remake of French thriller 'Tell No One' 2006

TELL NO ONE from TRESOR FILMS. (2006). Universal and Warner Bros., had optioned the rights to do a Hollywood remake. Will Fetters was chosen to rewrite the screenplay (2019) after two drafts from other screenwriters. Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall served as producers from the start (2011). Ben Affleck was attached to direct that same year. Gavin O' Connor was then in negotiations to replace Affleck (2013).

"Tell No One" is a French mystery/thriller that had a production budget of $13 million. It grabbed $33 million at the world-wide box office. It reached North America one full year after its' initial France release (2006). I saw it inside an independent theater at Los Angeles. I thought it was a fantastic mystery/thriller.

It tells the story about a pediatrician named Alex who receives an email from his wife Margot. She is shown for only a few seconds on a security camera. It comes as a shock to him because she was murdered 8 years before. That email tells Alex that he is being "watched" and to "Tell No One." The police go to his work office to ask questions about a current murder. He runs from the police and also from several unknown killers. Through it all - Alex uncovers many truths connected to his wife.

It is now 2021 and there is no word on this Hollywood remake.
