Entertainment Tonight interviews black "Oscar" Academy President about diversity

The Academy Award (Oscar) winners will be announced on Sunday Feb. 28, 2016 on ABC. The nominations were announced on Thursday. The Academy was criticized for lack of diversity in those nominations. The Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs says that she's "disappointed, but...,"

I think it's all about Oscar campaigns. Movie studio's spend millions $$$ on their campaigns to land an Oscar nomination & then for the award itself. It spells exposure for their films at the box office. That means Money $$$. Back in the 1980's - actors & actresses bought newspaper & magazine ads for a possible nomination. They also used to throw parties in L.A. for Academy members. It depends on how much the producer's are willing to spend on their films. You can buy a large page layout in Variety magazine for $10,000 & more. The Oneida Indian Casino did just that once for a Native Grammy award nominee.
