"The Revenant" was an incredible story of survival driven by revenge

I went to see THE REVENANT last night at the down town Century 14 theaters in Albuquerque. I'm still reeling from the cinematic scope of the movie. What I liked was Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) & his spiritual connection to his Indigenous wife plus their half-breed son. It kept him sane while dredging through life threatening situations. Glass had respect for human beings, animals & the fight to live. Goodness came full circle for him. That's why a Pawnee Indian helped him heal after the bear attack. And again after he saved the Indian girl who was being raped. She helped him later.

Fitzgerald wanted to be a leader & his jealousy consumed him. He planned the death of Glass after he was mauled by that bear. You could see it in his angry eyes. He didn't want to work hard as a tracker plus he was greedy. Glass knew that rugged country so well. That's why men followed him. I also loved the Indigenous language used in the film. It brought us back to the 1800's & the power of culture. That horse carcass scene was incredible. Glass even gave respect to the animal with his hand.

I loved it & want to see it again.
