'Wonder Woman' Advance screening in Albuquerque May 30, 2017

WONDER WOMAN opens on 4,000 U.S., movies screens June 2, 2017. There are advance screenings happening all over including here at Albuquerque. The radio ads are still playing, but I think they're all booked up. Men are calling the "only women" screenings at Texas a little, "sexist." Maybe they're just feeling left out.

Nonetheless, this is a much anticipated movie. The reviews are coming in and they are positive. I'm a big fan of Lynda Carter from the 1970's TV show, "Wonder Woman." She will always be Wonder Woman to me. I bought my advance tickets and will watch the new film this coming weekend.

'The Keepers' Did Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic Church protect a priest?

THE KEEPERS on NET-FLIX. (Season 1 Episode 7). Within Jean’s repressed memories from 1969. She claimed that Father Joseph Maskell had led her to the dead body of Sister Cathy Cesnik. Her skull was bludgeoned and Jean saw “maggots” crawling over the dead body. It has been maintained by critics that maggots don’t appear in winter (November 1969). Reports maintain that the weather was sunny and warm in the days during that month. Father Maskell claimed he never brought Jean to Cathy’s dead body. He died in 2001.

Charles Franz came forward as an adult who says that Joseph Maskell had sexually molested him when he was in 8th grade. He blamed Maskell and himself because if the Catholic Church dealt with the abuse. Sister Cathy would not have been murdered in 1969. Charles says that Father Maskell went from bad to worse as he got older. He also taught Charles to drink alcohol who later had a drinking problem. The Archdiocese in 1967 transferred Maskell to another Catholic school. The acting 1994 Archdiocese claimed he never heard about the abuse allegation nor the transfer of Maskell.

Sister Russell shared an apartment with Sister Cathy back in 1969. Russell left the church after Cathy’s murder and never talked about it. She took everything to the grave when she died in 2001. She coincidentally passed away a few days after Father Maskell. She also told a friend that Maskell took his “secret” to his own grave.

Jean also had a repressed memory of “Brother Bob” who no one knows about. She claims that he threatened her as well to cover up Cathy’s murder and all the sexual abuse. Bob has never been identified. Police detectives have no direct evidence to arrest anyone in Cathy’s murder. They also have no evidence in the sexual abuse of 100 high school girls at the hands of Father Maskell.

Will Cathy’s murder ever be solved? Was there any DNA evidence collected at the crime scene? Did the Catholic Church protect Father Maskell?

'The Keepers' Detective says everyone is suspect in murder of Sister Cathy

THE KEEPERS on NET-FLIX. (Season 1 Episode 6). The voice of Edgar Davidson was recorded by phone when he called a local radio station. He disguised his voice and said he knew who was carrying Sister Cathy’s Rosary. The police thought Edgar murdered Cathy, but he denied it. He claimed that he cut his hand the night she was killed. His former wife Margaret said he had blood on his shirt that night in 1969. Edgar admitted he misled the radio program because he shouldn’t have called them about that Rosary.

A police detective was assigned to the cold case of Sister Cathy. He said that everyone is a suspect and claimed that Father Joseph Maskell was looked at closely until he died in 2001. Father Jerry Koob was looked at too. He claimed that he wanted to marry Cathy, but she said “no.” Koob had an alibi the night Cathy was killed. He went with a friend to dinner and a movie. Marilyn called Koob’s friend who verified Koob's story. She is the actual biological sister to Cathy.

Koob made an outrageous claim when he was questioned by police. He said that he was threatened by a detective who showed him Cathy’s actual “Vagina” wrapped in a newspaper. No one believed it to be true. Koob thought it was a threat so that he would confess to Cathy’s murder. Police had no evidence to arrest him.

Sister Cathy Cesnik's murder is still an open case in 2017.

'The Keepers' Father Joseph dies & two possible suspects emerge in murder

THE KEEPERS on NET-FLIX. (Season 1 Episode 5). 1999. Father Joseph Maskell was in a hospital in his early 60’s. He was suffering from dementia. One of his sexual abuse victims, Lillian Hughes, went to see him. She looked into his eyes and there was nothing there. No life at all. Maskell passed away in 2001. He was never charged with the sexual abuse of over 100 high school girls. He was also never charged in the murder of Sister Cathy Cesnik to cover up his alleged abuse. He had been the former chaplain at the Catholic Archbishop-Keough high school.

Nov. 7, 1969. Margaret was married to Edgar Davidson who had returned home one night with blood on his white shirt. He was also trying to pick up girls at Rock Glen middle school one year later. That school was next to where Cathy Cesnik had lived.  He also gave Margaret a wedding necklace that looked like what Sister Cathy had bought the night she died.

Billy Schmidt was a neighbor of Sister Cathy Cesnik. He was obsessed with her death. He committed suicide 5 months after she was murdered. He was only 42-years-old. His brother Ronald came home with blood on his clothes one night after work. His wife Barbara says he never drank alcohol. He began drinking heavily after Cathy’s death. She believes that Ronald helped Billy with Cathy’s dead body. She was found in a dump between Billy Schmidt’s apartment and the Schmidt business.

Are these two stories a coincidence? Did Billy and/or Edgar kill Sister Cathy at the behest of Father Joseph Maskell?

'The Keepers' Father Joseph Maskell leaves U.S. as sexual accusations mount

THE KEEPERS on NET-FLIX. (Season 1 Episode 4). Father Joseph Maskell had been questioned and diagnosed by the Catholic Church clinic by 1994. He denied ever touching any girls at the Archbishop-Keough high school. He was transferred to another Church Parish with no charges brought against him. The accusations from former school girls reached 100 victims. There was no concrete evidence as the Catholic Church and police department ignored the accusations.

Father Joseph Maskell asked a cemetery caretaker to help bury boxes of documents in the grave yard. That was in 1990. There was no evidence of him and other priest’s sexually abusing teen girls. The district attorney had one side of the story from 100 women. Maskell never gave his side of the story, but only in his earlier denials. He was removed from the Parish Ministry by 1994 and he left the United States.

The late 1960’s and early 1970’s sexual abuse became the media focus against the Baltimore Catholic Church. Two women filed lawsuits against that church and Joseph Maskell. It became the 20-year-old "repressed" memories against the word of a priest. It was also the word of Jean Hargadon Wehner against Maskell’s denial in the murder of Sister Cathy Cesnik in 1969. There is no physical evidence on either side.

What happened to Father Maskell? Did the two victims win their lawsuit against the Catholic Church?

"Pirates of the Carribean 5' was a 'Popcorn Movie' 2017

It's just my opinion. I liked the ensemble feel of the original film a few years back. Jack Sparrow worked off other characters so well and he was funny. I saw the 5th installment last night and finally it's getting back to a somewhat ensemble piece. Javier Bardem is a good villain, like he was in the last James Bond movie. Check it out if can. I was entertained.

'The Keepers' Revelations 20 years later of sexual abuse at Catholic high school

THE KEEPERS on NET-FLIX (Season 1 Episode 3). Jean Hargadon was just shown the dead body of Sister Cathy Cesnik. Father Joseph Maskell brought Jean to the body. He did it for one reason and that was to keep her quiet. It worked as the abuse continued against Jean at the high school. She stored it away for 20 years until 1992. Journalist Tom Nugent wrote his 6,000 word article in 1994 on Cathy’s death.

Jean met Mike Wehner, they married and had two kids. She called her family life a spiritual journey by 1992. She didn’t go to any of the reunions at Archbishop-Keough high school. She wanted nothing to do with the bad memories. A former classmate persuaded her to think about attending one year. The rape and abuse came back like a rage.

Jean’s main abusers were Neil Magnus and Chaplain Joseph Maskell. Neil died in 1988 and Joseph was still alive in 1992. Jean was told by a modern priest that Maskell was smart against former students who made accusations. The latest Archdiocese told Jean to get a lawyer as they tried to remove Maskell. Jean couldn’t talk about her abuse. She wrote it down and read it to her lawyers. (She broke down crying as she read one page in front of the camera. Her pent up emotions were completely raw.).

What happened to Father Joseph Maskell in 1992? Was he finally removed from his position as a priest?

'48 Hours' 2 back-to-back episodes Saturday May 27, 2017

48 HOURS on CBS. The second hour episode is called, "The Hit" that will air this Saturday at 10/9 p.m. This is a repeat and it is one of my favorites on this murder case. "Dateline" had a 2-hour report with Josh Mankiewicz as well. The wife in this case is a piece of delusional work.

CBS says, "Why was Gary Triano -- a colorful entrepreneur with powerful friends -- blown up in his car? His ex-wife Pamela Phillips speaks out to correspondent Peter Van Sant."

"CBS This Morning" talks to Peter Van Sant about this episode.

'48 Hours' 2 back-to-back episodes Saturday May 27, 2017

48 HOURS on CBS. The first hour episode is called, "Death of an Olympian" that will air this Saturday at 9/8 p.m. This is a repeat and there maybe an update.

CBS says, "Olympic hero Dave Laut shot six times -- his wife pulled the trigger. Was it murder or self-defense? In her first TV interview, Jane Laut tells correspondent Erin Moriarty she's been hiding a secret."

'The Keepers' The sexual abuse at prestigious Catholic high school 1969

THE KEEPERS on NET-FLIX. (Season 1 Episode 2). Jean Hargadon was called, “Jane Doe” because she was afraid to be known as the teen girl who was forced to be quiet. She was shown the dead body of Sister Cathy Cesnik in 1969. Cathy was going to reveal secrets about the high school where she was a teacher. The Catholic Archbishop-Keough school was prestigious and strict. The “Word” of the top priests were "Law" among the students.

Jean went to confession and admitted she was sexually abused in her home. A priest took advantage of that confession and he abused her in therapy. She was made to believe that it was all her fault. Another priest called her a “whore.” They made her think that only they could save her. Jean was raped to help them feel good. They told her it was normal so she would get closer to God’s forgiveness.

The priest’s yielded power and enormous ego. Sister Cathy, knew what was going on behind closed doors. She was murdered before she could speak out about the male priests. Jean was then forced to look at Cathy’s dead body to shut her up. Father Joseph Maskell was the Chaplain at the school. How far did the sexual abuse go? Did Father Maskell murder Sister Cathy?

They were also unidentified and their families had discovered both had gone missing. Their fears were realized when the dead couple was later identified. Investigators found that Lea Anne had brushed off a male who was attracted to her. He was not in the area when she died though. The shootings were personal and angry with bullets to the heads. They were not the only two targeted that night. William had gotten away from an ambush by several men. Were these crimes just deadly random acts?

'The Keepers' 1969 murder of a popular nun Cathy Cesnik

THE KEEPERS on NET-FLIX. (Season 1. Episode 1.). Tom Nugent is a journalist who wrote a 6,000 word article on the murder of Cathy Cesnik (1942-1969). Gemma and Abby went to the Archbishop-Keough high school at Baltimore, Maryland. Sister Cathy was one of their teacher's who was like an older family sibling. She was murdered during their senior year. Gemma interviews people and Abby does complete research. They have been trying to find out what happened to Cathy since 1969.

Sister Cathy left her apartment in November of 1969 to go shopping at 7 p.m. (There are black and white photographs of Cathy's car). It was abandoned 50 feet from the apartment she shared with Sister Russell. The car was sticking out onto the road and it was believed that someone deliberately parked it there. Cathy was said to be kidnapped and it shocked her high school students at the time. Her dead body was later found by several hunters in a field (1970) and her skull had been bludgeoned in.

(There are more black and white photos of Cathy's body). She was laying on her back with her clothes stripped down to her waist. It looked like she was dumped after being murdered. Police interviewed many witnesses. Cathy was abducted and killed with no clear evidence. Her killer may have known the local area well. Her car had no forensic evidence inside it even though DNA testing would come 40 years later. What happened to Sister Cathy?

Season Finale of 'Elementary' Sunday May 21, 2017

ELEMENTARY on CBS. The season finale episode is called, "Hurt Me, Hurt You" that will air this Sunday at 10/9 p.m.

I must say, this was an interesting TV season. My only complaint is that the network made a bad decision to move the show to Sunday nights. It had been pre-empted many times by professional games and award shows. It frustrated loyal TV fans. Just a note. Every new TV show bombed in the ratings on Thursday nights where "Elementary" used to air. Move it back for its' 6th TV season and fans will be happy.

CBS says this about season finale,"Holmes and Watson pursue an elusive criminal as a gang war erupts in New York City. While the NYPD works to contain the violence, the two investigate the murder that appears to have ignited the city-wide conflict."
