“The Threat.” 1988. Joan Bradford had divorced her husband Bill and she sold the home they lived in. She was getting ready to move out when her dead body was found inside the house. Joan was shot numerous times and police called it an execution. Bill claimed that he was at the Redondo Beach pier, at the time of his wife’s death. Their marriage was not happy and the divorce was nasty. Bill could not be placed at the crime scene and there was no evidence against him. The police couldn’t arrest him and the district attorney would not prosecute. Joan’s murder went cold for 13 years until her cold case was looked at again.
