CBS plans 'Reality Shows' for Fall TV Season if Writers Strike gets lengthy

CBS Fall TV schedule was unleased back in May (2023). There are no scripted shows written for the Fall TV season. It's because of the - Writers Guild Strike - which is now into its' 7th week.

George Cheeks is the President and CEO of CBS. He announced plans for more "Reality TV" that will stretch into the Fall TV Season. There will be extended shows like, "The Amazing Race" and "Survivor." The news program "60 Minutes" will remain locked on Sunday nights. "Big Brother" has moved its' premiere date to August and will run into the Fall schedule.

New Reality shows will also bow in September, "The Challenge" and "Superfan."

Game shows have been popular in prime-time and will likely help CBS ratings. They include, "Let's Make a Deal" and "The Price is Right."

CBS will also plan to grab scripted shows already written - from their streaming partner PARAMOUNT+... An example is, "SEAL team" which is very popular online.

Unless - the Writers Guild and producers reach a contract ending the Strike.
