'America's Got Talent' 2017 the final Judges Cuts

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT on NBC. I thought this was the weakest group for the final cuts. Many of the Talent Acts didn't step up at all. Their auditions were better and were cut for that very reason. The Danger Acts were cut and so were The Magicians. I was not impressed with the gospel group nor the military "acapella" singers. The judges liked them and sent both through to the live shows. It is now up to America and their votes. I know who I'm voting for...,

Below are the last 7 Talent Acts heading into the Live Shows.

Johnny Manuel (singer) / Merrick Hanna (dancer) / Air Force acapella group (singers) / Artyon and Paige (kid dancers) / DaNell Daymon & Greater Works (gospel choir) / Pompeyo Family Dogs (dancing pooches) / Kechi (singer).

Below is a YouTube fan edit of this week's Judges Cuts.

'America's Got Talent' 2017 the Judges Cuts 'Merrick Hanna'

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT on NBC. I had 12-year-old Merrick Hanna as my top pick after his spectacular audition. He tells a story through dance movement. However, I didn't like his second performance as much as the first. He has fallen down to number #3 on my favorite's list. Let's see how he does in the live shows. It's up to America now with the voting...,

'America's Got Talent' 2017 Johnny Manuel gets final 'Golden Buzzer'

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT on NBC. The 4th week of the "Judges Cuts" has dropped 20 Talent Acts to 7. Next week begins the Live Shows...,

Singer, Johnny Manuel received the "Golden Buzzer" from this week's guest judge. I thought he did well, but his audition was more spectacular. (He covered Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" which has become a huge hit on YouTube). Critics are saying that too many singers have received the Golden Buzzer for 2017. Maybe, but the competition this year has a lot of great singers -- young and old. Johnny automatically goes to the Live shows.

'The Mummy' tops $400 million at world wide box office

THE MUMMY from DARK UNIVERSAL. The monster reboot hit Digital Platforms this month of August 2017. It will come to BluRay and DVD in September. According to "The Numbers" that tracks box office receipts. As of August 7, 2017. It has reached $402,336,163 (million) at the world wide box office. It is creeping up to $80 million in the U.S., with $79,965,535 (million).

Hollywood critics bashed the movie after it made less than expectations over its first weekend run. They even said the monster film would lose $95 million. It stars Tom Cruise and it's his biggest opening ever world wide. (Go below for complete box office numbers).

Production Budget: $125-95 (million).
World Wide Total: $402,336,163 (million).
Profit: $207,336,163 (million).

This does not exclude the marketing of the movie and the cut of Tom Cruise. Critics say that the total cost plus marketing reached $345,000,000 (million). If so, it has made $57,336,163 (million). Didgital, BluRay and DVD still has to be counted. Looks like it's making some cash back.

SAG-AFTRA votes-in a new 3-year-contract with producers

SAG-AFTRA sent out voting ballots to all 140,000 union members for newest contract with producers. Not all of them voted, but only 21,462..., That's only 15.33%. Those who voted "no" think that the outcome is fraudulent and there should be a recount. Well, only 15 percent voted and I don't think there would be another outcome. All Union members have to vote and they clearly didn't. Look at the numbers.

'Kidnap' with Halle Berry was ridiculous, but I loved it

KIDNAP was filmed back in 2014 and was put on hold while it's distributor, "Relativity Media" went into bankruptcy. It also went through at least 4 release dates and kept getting pushed forward. It finally opened this past Friday on Aug. 4, 2017. Halle Berry stars and she was also a producer of the movie.

According to "The Numbers" that tracks box office receipts. "Kidnap" nabbed $10,016,323 (million). This despite mixed to negative critic reviews across-the-board. The movie tracked well with preview audiences though. I bought advance tickets and went to see it over the weekend. It was preposterous, but I completely enjoyed it. I'm a big fan of Halle Berry...,

Al Gore hoped Donald Trump would take 'Climate Change' seriously

Al Gore is on the "talk show" circuit promoting his new movie, "An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power" from Paramount Pictures. It opened in movie theaters on July 28, 2017. It is also the sequel to the Oscar winning, "An Inconvenient Truth." He had an in-depth discussion on "Real Time: with Bill Maher" about his new film. He claimed that his talks with Donald Trump went nowhere because Trump wants to cut environmental funds for climate change.

'An Inconvenient Sequel' is now in movie theaters

AN INCONVENIENT SEQUEL: TRUTH TO POWER from PARAMOUNT PICTURES. This is the sequel to the Oscar winning, "An Inconvenient Truth." According to "The Numbers" that tracks box office receipts. "Sequel" has grabbed $488,371 since July 28, 2017. I went to see it and I loved it. Information is power. I recommend that you see it...,

Donald Trump is in this movie trailer who doesn't believe in climate change. He wants to cut funds that explore environmental causes which includes climate change. He also wants to give jobs back to coal miners, but that is an impossibility in 2017. The coal industry has moved toward solar energy to save lives.

Facebook cartoon 'Who is the Killer?'

It looks like suicide to me, but the question is, "Who is the Killer?"

'America's Got Talent' 2017 The Judges Cuts for 3rd week

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT on NBC. 20 more Talent Acts were cut down to 7 heading into the live shows. It happens every year with "Dangerous" talent acts. They are cut if they're too dangerous by costing someone's life. 2017 is no different. Bello Nock and Jonathon Rinny will not head to the live shows...,

I have to agree with Simon Cowell about the boy band group, "5 Alive." They were good, but they just didn't rise above and their singing harmonies were off. They were sent home. A comedian actually went through to the first live show. "Preacher Lawson." I didn't think he was that funny, but the judges liked him.

Here are the 7 Talent acts heading to the Live Shows / Celine Tam (singer) / Oscar Hernandez (dancer) / Preacher Lawson (comedian) / Diavolo (dance group) / Brobots & Mandroidz (dance group) / Mike Yung (singer) / Billy & Emily (roller-skate acrobats).

Below is a "YouTube" fan edit of the Judges Cuts.

'America's Got Talent' 2017 Judges Cuts 'Oscar Hernandez'

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT on NBC. This the 3rd week of the Judges Cuts and it's "twiddling" down to those talent acts who stepped it up. Tuesday's performances were all very good, but some rose above the rest.

Oscar Hernandez is a male choreographer for professional sport cheerleaders. His dream was always to be a dancer at more than 6 feet-in-height and huge weight. He nailed his audition and then upped-it-a-notch with the second performance. Oscar is an original choreographer and dancer who is entertaining on his very own. He made it to the first live show. (Those cheerleaders are pretty hot too).

'America's Got Talent' 2017 Judges Cuts 'Celine Tam' Golden Buzzer

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT on NBC. This is the 3rd week of the Judges making their cuts. 9-year-old singer, Celine Tam sung, "How am I supposed to live without you?" and received the golden buzzer from the guest judge. She automatically goes to the first Live show.

The battle is on with the two 9-year-old girl singers. Fans on "YouTube" have already begun choosing/arguing on who is the better singer. Is it Angelica Hale or Celine Tam? It's up to America because the voting begins during the live shows.

'The Mummy' is just short of $400 million at world wide box office

THE MUMMY from DARK UNIVERSAL. It arrives on Digital Platforms this August 2017 and on BluRay / DVD in September. (I pre-ordered my BluRay copy and got a discount...,).

Hollywood Critics consider "The Mummy" a failure in the U.S., market. According to "The Numbers" that tracks box office receipts for July 31, 2017. It has climbed to $79,741,080 (million) in North America. It will reach $80 million soon. The production budget ranges between $125-95 million. Critics also say the movie will lose $95 million.

Tom Cruise is the star of the film and it is his biggest opening to date around the world. The monster reboot will soon grab $400 million at the world wide box office. The total on July 31 is $397,644,453 (million). Digital, BluRay and DVD sales will begin soon...,

Below is the box office breakdowns for "The Mummy."

Production Budget: $195,000,000 (million)
World Wide Total: $397,644,453 (million)
Profit: $202,644,453 (million)

This doesn't exclude the cut of Tom Cruise who is the star of the movie. It also doesn't exclude the marketing of the film. In my opinion, the critics might be wrong. "The Mummy" will make back some serious money in the millions $$$...,

'Kidnap' finally makes it to movie theaters Friday Aug. 4, 2017

KIDNAP will open on 2,200 movie screens this Friday. Actress, Halle Berry helped produce the film. It received rave reviews during preview screenings. It also has leaked online, but I'm gonna watch it in the theater...,

New SAG-AFTRA contract agreements draw criticism

I am a SAG-AFTRA union member and I thoroughly looked at each candidate running for the 2017 elections. That includes National and local New Mexico. "Thank you" to those candidates who spent the time to send me Emails and Regular Post Office Mail seeking my vote. I respect those candidates who want to represent me in this union. You got my vote...,

I voted for local and national elections. I also voted on the new SAG-AFTRA TV/Theatrical agreement with producers. I really like the upgrade pay for Union Background Extras in this contract. Work-is-Work when there are no "speaking" parts available for Native Americans.

A lot of union actors and actresses are opposing this new contract.  They are screaming pretty loud on the Internet. However, I vote for what is going to benefit my work in New Mexico. I'm just happy to be part of the union...,
