There are many great information pieces that investigative journalist Sarah Koenig uncovers in each episode. Roscoe discusses three important moments in the murder case from 1999 that put Adnan Syed behind bars for life after the strangulation of Hae Min Lee.
I agree with the head of the "Innocence Project" that the prosecution shouldn't have gone to trial with a large window of reasonable doubt against Adnan. But, after two trials the jury chose to convict on what is now considered evidence prosecutors in 2014 never use which is cell phone records. They are unreliable even though they helped convict Adnan. Sarah goes in depth on those cell phone calls & the towers that were pinged.
