SERIAL premiered on Oct. 3, 2014 & ran once each week for 12 weeks. There were 5 million downloads and counting. The biggest in Podcast history for "iTunes."

Investigative journalist Sarah Koenig breaks down the 1999 murder of a Korean high school girl who was strangled & dumped in a park. Her American-Pakistan ex-boyfriend Adnan Syed was charged with her murder & went through the first mis-trial. The second trial found him convicted of first degree murder & life in prison.

Everyone has a theory of how the crime went down & I think his supposed friend Jay framed Adnan. Sarah  asks the question "What can you remember 15 years ago after high school? Can you remember specific times and dates?" Surprisingly, many cannot remember what they did three days ago. Adnan had to account for 21 minutes when Hae Min Lee was murdered & he cannot. It was just another day after high school for him.

I listened to the podcast twice now & through it all you feel the internal struggle Sarah has over the guilt or innocence of Adnan. The more she uncovers through her own investigation, her interviews & new evidence. Either Adnan killed Hae or he was the unluckiest bastard alive. Why? Why give your cell phone & car to a distant friend who later turns out to be a state witness against you? Adnan sits in jail & ponders these questions of that horrible day.
