I used to watch "Law & Order" all the time. Fred Thompson was great in his role on the popular TV series. He had an interesting life. I first heard of him while at country singer, Lorrie Morgan's concert back in 1995. She dated Thompson & because he was so busy. She sang a song called, "I can buy my own roses" because he would send them after not meeting her. Great concert. RIP Fred Thompson.
