RUSH HOUR on CBS. The death of this TV crime show has been quick in prime time. 8 episodes aired and it was cancelled by the network. It was then taken off the schedule on Thursday night's at 10/9 p.m. The hospital drama "Code Black" replaced it for the last three weeks. CBS moved "Elementary" from Thursday to Sunday to make room for "Rush Hour" last March 2016.
"TV Insider" reports that CBS will bring back "Rush Hour" Saturday night July 23, 2016 at 9/8 p.m. It will follow another cancelled TV show, "Angel from Hell" at 8/7 p.m. The network placed them both on Saturday evenings which is the grave yard of TV viewing. "Rush Hour" has a reported 5 episodes left after a 13 episode order by CBS.
"Deadline Hollywood" is reporting that Justin Hires who played detective Carter in "Rush Hour" has been cast in another reboot called, "MacGyver." The new Fall TV series is a remake of the 1985 hit and Hires will play a sidekick.
