'48 Hours' Girlfriend guns down boyfriend and claims self-defense

48 HOURS (CBS) can be seen each Saturday evening at 10/9 p.m. It aired at 9 p.m. (central time) on the Albuquerque TV station KRQE 13. Last night’s episode on Oct. 7, 2017 was called, “Moment of Truth.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 3.70 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.5 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “Saturday Night College Football” (ABC) grabbed 6.29 overall & 1.9 with adults (8-11 p.m.). “SNL Vintage” (NBC) nabbed 2.65 overall & 0.5 with adults. 

“48 Hours” is a news program that covers crime and murder in the United States. Last night’s episode was reported and narrated by Erin Moriarty. 

Moment of Truth.” The state of New Jersey on March 3, 2014. Virginia called 911 Emergency and claimed that someone broke into her home. Patrick was her on-and-off boyfriend who was lying dead in that home. She shot him and he called his daughter saying Virginia had a gun. He died seconds later. There was no robbery. She claimed that he abused her during their volatile relationship. She also claimed that she loved him too. That’s why she always went back to him after many break ups. Did Virginia deliberately murder Patrick? Or was it self-defense?
