Relativity Media comes out of Bankruptcy to release "Kidnap"

Relativity Media earlier this year 2016 has climbed out of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. In 2015, they let go of the Natalie Portman Western "Jane Got a Gun" before claiming Chapter 11. That film had numerous release dates over three years and finally made it to U.S., screens in 2016. It nabbed a paltry $1 million worldwide. It was filmed entirely at Santa Fe, NM.

Several investors have put up $75 million to keep the company afloat and a judge moved Relativity Media out of Chapter 11. Four big budget films are already finished and will finally be released in 2017. They include, "The Crow" (February 2017), "Hunter Killer" (April 2017), "Immortals 2" (November 2017) and "Secret Scripture" (December 2017). All are expected to make some money back. Hopefully.

The comedy "Masterminds" is slated for release September 2016 and it will star Zach Galifianakis, Owen Wilson and Kristen Wiig. That movie trailer has been released. "Kidnap" with Halle Berry was scheduled to be released this past May, but only the trailer has made an appearance so far. Stay tuned as Relativity Media gets back on its' feet.
