“The Intruder.” Dec. 18, 2014. A man calls 911 emergency. He claims that an intruder shot his wife and her friend Rachel Owens. Rachel was shot three times and ended up in critical condition at the hospital. Her husband Greg was questioned by police about his alibi the night Rachel was shot. Investigators found that it wasn’t a robbery because nothing was stolen. They found one shoe print in the garden bed and the garage was broken into. The intruder’s path led straight to the bedroom where Rachel was sleeping. She was the target that night.
It turns out that Greg Owens was having an affair with a woman named Betsy. They had been together for five years until she found that he wasn’t separated from his wife. The FBI got involved and a deeper investigation began.
