“The Sting.” 1983. A Navy petty-officer, Sonny Grotton, returned home after cashing his pay check. He walked up to his front walk way and was gunned down. He was shot three times and soon died. It was an execution. Sonny’s murder had gone unsolved for 17 years. NCIS detectives had always suspected that his wife Norma had something to do with his murder. She was questioned many times in the beginning. There was no connection between her and Sonny’s death. NCIS brought in an experienced undercover agent to pose as a former prison inmate. He began to get close to Norma and the events from 1983 began to unfold.
