'Edge of Darkness' 1985 BBC TV mini-series 'Into the Shadows'

EDGE OF DARKNESS from BBC Television (1985). The second episode of this TV mini-series is called, “Into the Shadows.”

Inspector Ronald Craven has been watching trains slowly pass by a local bridge and/or a motel building. What are those train cars carrying both in and out of the city? He finds out that he is being watched by someone who has his phone bugged in his motel room. He visits his daughter’s boyfriend who had already been questioned by police. He discovers that Emma was in love with him.

Ronald put a man in prison several years ago. He shot Emma which was aimed at Ronald. The mysterious man who talked with him is named, “Pendleton.” He brings Ronald to another man named, “Harcourt” who says Emma was part of a group who broke into a facility known as Northmoor. It is a nuclear plant and everyone in Emma’s group went missing and/or were killed. Their whole bodies had become contaminated by radioactive materials when they entered Northmoor.

Ronald is then contacted by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from America. They have a complete dossier on his daughter Emma. Why?
