'Endeavour' Morse investigates a murder connected to Opera

ENDEAVOUR on PBS Masterpiece. (S1E2). The second episode was called, “Fugue.” The final TV ratings garnered 7.0 million TV viewers overall. This is the prequel to the popular “Inspector Morse” TV series.

“Fugue.” Constable Morse had been put on general duties by the commanding officer. Morse attends the opera and is a bit of a celebrity. A woman is strangled to death and her body is found inside a train car on the railroad tracks. A red hanker-chief was stuffed inside her mouth with the letter “D” engraved on it. Morse goes back to the crime scene and finds words written on the train car door. It is from an "Opera." Another woman is killed and they might be dealing with a serial killer. That killer test’s Morse with clues…,

(Note: This is an excellent “thinking” detective TV series. I absolutely love it and I keep getting the killer wrong.).
