'Endeavour' Constabe Morse returns off-kilter for Season 2

ENDEAVOUR on PBS Masterpiece. (S2E1). The first episode was called, “Trove.” The final TV ratings garnered 6.48 million TV viewers overall. This is the prequel to the popular “Inspector Morse” TV series.

“Trove.” Constable Morse returns to work after being shot. His dad passed away too and something is missing. Inspector “Thursday” sees that Morse is gun shy at anything that sounds like a bullet blast. He just isn’t the same.

A man supposedly commits suicide by jumping from the roof of a building. It was during a parade where a beauty queen was attacked on her float with fake blood and a pop gun. There is also a missing girl whose dad searches for her at Oxford. An ancient dagger, “Trove” is stolen and Morse tries to tie all the cases together. He follows a lead and goes to the office of the man who fell from that roof. He is suddenly attacked and beaten. Are all these incidents connected?

(Note: I was absolutely floored by the ending. I guessed wrong again on who the killer turned out to be. I hope you watched closely at that end, ending. This has great mystery writing.).
