"Marco Polo" Female Warrior asks "Hundred Eyes" to choose the great Khan or her

“Marco Polo” can be seen streaming online over at “Netflix.” The seventh episode of season 2 is called, “Lost Crane.” It stars, Lorenzo Richelmy (Marco Polo), Benedict Wong (Kublai Khan), Joan Chen (Empress Chabi), Remy Hii (Prince Jingim) & Tom Wu (Hundred Eyes).

“Lost Crane” opened with the female warrior (Michelle Yeoh) revealing herself to “Hundred Eyes.” Her name is “Lotus” and they were once lovers. She was the protector of the boy emperor until Kublai Khan killed him. She asks “Eyes” to choose between the Khan or her and if he chooses the Khan. They will fight to the death. Kaidu attacks the village of a Chieftain who supports Khan. Ahmad suggests that Prince Jingim seek out Kaidu's death. He also tells Mei Lin that he sold her daughter to Nayan who waits with an army to kill Jingim. Ahmad wants his father's throne and Marco warns Jingim of an ambush.

(The outstanding performance here is Benedict Wong as Kublai Khan. He deserves an Emmy nomination).

"48 Hours" Saturday will be pre-empted by Dallas Shootings coverage

48 HOURS on CBS. The repeat episode "The Catch a Genius" will be pre-empted by a 1-hour report on  the Dallas, Texas shootings. 

CBS says, "Maurice DuBois will anchor a primetime special from the CBS Broadcast Center in New York Saturday, July 9 at at 10 p.m. ET/PT, featuring extensive original reporting from CBS News correspondents on the ground in Dallas and around the country."

"Marco Polo" Ahmad uses Khan's throne to manipulate power

“Marco Polo” can be seen streaming online over at “Netflix.” The sixth episode of season 2 is called, “Serpent's Terms.” It stars, Lorenzo Richelmy (Marco Polo), Benedict Wong (Kublai Khan), Joan Chen (Empress Chabi), Remy Hii (Prince Jingim) & Tom Wu (Hundred Eyes).

“Serpent's Terms” opened with Ahmad welcoming Kaidu to Kublai Khan's home while he is away. Ahmad wants to help him further his ambitions. He uses Mei Lin's daughter to tempt Nayan who used to be a pedophile before he became a Christian. Ahmad wants to punish Mei Lin for being a whore to Kublai. He also wants Nayan to vote for Kaidu in the election as the next Khan. The real “blue princess” has returned. She wants her life back from Kokachin who is posing as the princess. The great Khan wants more power and meets with other territorial Chieftains. He doesn't know that his bastard son Ahmad is a master manipulator.

An all new "American Gothic" Wednesday July 13, 2016

AMERICAN GOTHIC on CBS. (S01E04). I've been TV recapping this murder mystery and I must say that the Hawthorne family are all disturbed. Who is the "Silver Bells Killer?" It has to be one of the family members. Virginia Madsen who portrays Madeline Hawthorne, had already committed the murder of her husband to cover up the serial killer in Boston. It's fun to watch for some sick reason. Hah...!

An all new episode comes this Wednesday July 13, 2016 at 10/9 p.m.

"The Bourne Legacy" 2012 starred Jeremy Renner as Alex Cross who was part of  a CIA group called, "Alcon" while Bourne was a part of the CIA group called, "Treadstone."

"Marco Polo" Unknown female warrior begins revenge over boy emperor's death

“Marco Polo” can be seen streaming online over at “Netflix.” The fifth episode of season 2 is called, “Lullaby.” It stars, Lorenzo Richelmy (Marco Polo), Benedict Wong (Kublai Khan), Joan Chen (Empress Chabi), Remy Hii (Prince Jingim) & Tom Wu (Hundred Eyes).

“Lullaby” opened with the unknown female warrior (Michelle Yeoh) sending out rebels with bombs. They exact revenge on the boy emperor's death. Those bombs kill 300 mongols. Kaidu's daughter, Khutulun, doesn't want to be the first female Khan. He wants that throne for her. Byamba left her when she ambushed his half brother's Prince Jingim and Ahmad. He returned to Kublai Khan's army as a foot soldier to serve under his father. Kokachin gets a visit from a woman in her past and it is quite revealing.

(The personal politics in the home of Khan is now getting intense. The stakes are raised and there is good drama).

Neill Blomkamp's "Alien 5" will move away from Sequels Two & Three

The 5th sequel of the "Alien" franchise has fans anticipating the return of Ellen "Ripley", Corporal "Hicks" and possibly, "Newt." Sigourney Weaver who portrayed Ripley is trending on social media after her remarks to Entertainment Weekly. She says that "Alien 5" will veer away from "Alien 3" (2nd sequel) and "Alien: Resurrection" (3rd sequel). 

The fifth movie does not have a title yet, but Neill Blomkamp released his own concept Art for his directorial vision. It will be a continuation of the 1986 James Cameron movie "Aliens" (1st sequel) That means we might get to see Ripley, Hicks and Newt who went into cyber sleep after pushing the queen alien into space. Weaver says the next sequel won't be released until 2017.

2014 "Dateline" Julia Phillips dies in prison after conviction of murder

DATELINE on NBC. The 2014 episode called, "Death in the Driveway" had the murder of Melvin Roberts. He was ambushed in his driveway and died. His girlfriend Julia Phillips was tied up with duct tape in front of that driveway behind a cement wall. She said an unknown male would kill her if she screamed out for Melvin. She heard a pipe drop and a gunshot. He was beaten on the head and a bullet grazed his ear. It sounded like robbery, but $400 was not taken from his wallet.

Mud foot prints walked away from Melvin's home, but ended on a road near by. Police didn't believe Julia's story because of the way her duct tape was tied. They also discovered Melvin was going to leave her. She was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and recently died in prison at age 72. Police never found the person or persons Julia hired to kill Melvin. Answers to his death have gone with her to the grave and it's a mystery.

"American Gothic" The police ask the Hawthorne family about the "silver bells killer"

“American Gothic” can be seen each Wednesday evening at 10/9 p.m. It aired at 9 p.m. (central time) in Albuquerque, NM on KRQE 13. Last night's episode on July 6, 2016 was called, “Nighthawks.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 3.11 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.6 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. "Fresh off the boat" (ABC) grabbed 2.37 overall & 0.6 with adults (repeat). "The Night Shift" (NBC) nabbed 5.70 overall & 1.1 with adults.

“American Gothic” stars, Juliet Rylance (Alison Hawthorne-Price), Antony Starr (Garrett Hawthorne), Justin Chatwin (Cam Hawthorne), Stephanie Leonidas (Sophie Hawthorne) & Virginia Madsen (Madeline Hawthorne).

“Nighthawks” opened with Cam being asked to provide a DNA sample after an old picture was discovered of him. He wore an expensive belt that is similar to the belt found on the last victim of the “silver bells killer” (SBK). He was a teen in that picture who refuses to give up his DNA. Garrett has been following a female nurse. He cuts his hand deliberately so she can stitch it up for him. She tells him that her father was a victim of the SBK many years ago.

Alison has a fundraiser in her home to gain votes for her election. A police detective shows up to ask Madeline questions about Cam's belt.

"48 Hours" on Saturday July 9, 2016 is a repeat, repeat, repeat...!

48 HOURS on CBS. The episode called, "To Catch a Genius" will air this Saturday at 10/9 p.m. It is a repeat episode, but if you missed it. Check it out.

"Marco Polo" Pope Gregory X wants to stop Kublai Khan's power

“Marco Polo” can be seen streaming online over at “Netflix.” TV season 2 has begun and the fourth episode is called, “Let God's Work Begin.” It stars, Lorenzo Richelmy (Marco Polo), Benedict Wong (Kublai Khan), Joan Chen (Empress Chabi), Remy Hii (Prince Jingim) & Tom Wu (Hundred Eyes).

“Let God's Work Begin” opened with Nayan meeting with Marco's father Niccolo. They both visit Pope “Gregory X” at northern Israel. Nayan discovers that the west wants to crush Kublai Khan because he has too much power. He is in the way of the Christian path. Kaidu's son Orus sliced the necks of the horses belonging to Prince Jingim and Ahmad. The ambush left them in the desert. Khan and Marco meet with Kaidu who will help find the two men.

Kokachin discovers that Empress Chabi had the stable boy killed who just impregnated her. Chabi wants her daughter-in-law pregnant when Prince Jingim returns. The heir to the great Khan is vital and important.

"Examiner" spokesman says they will focus on parent company AXS

Roscoe Pond was a "Native American Culture Examiner" and "Albuquerque TV crime Examiner." He had written 1200 articles over four years at "Examiner.com"  

"Examiner.com" became a part of a marketing program called AXS in 2014 which is based at Los Angeles, CA. After "Examiner" shuts down on July 10, 2016. AXS will handle only local 1500 staff and writers for music, entertainment, culture and sports. 

"Examiner" spokesman Justin Jimenez says, "This was not a decision that was made lightly. We have been wanting to move the focus of our business to AXS.com, and now we’ve done that. To be around nine years and have the footprint and impact that Examiner.com has had is a significant thing. But in the media environment today, it takes a good amount of investment to be competitive.”

"Examiner.com" climbed to 47 million readers each month since it was launched back in 2008. It also had thousands of freelance writers.

"Dateline" 8 minute Mini-Episode streaming online at official website

DATELINE on NBC. The mini-episode “The Root of All Evil” is now Internet streaming. Keith Morrison reports on a repeat episode that has been downsized.

Michelle found her husband Mark of 15 years murdered in their home. A black male claimed that Michelle's dad hired him to kill Mark. Carl hired a lawyer as Michelle admitted to having an affair. The police then found deleted phone "text" messages between Michelle and her dad about insinuations of killing Mark. In her interview with Keith Morrison. She tried to cry, but there were no tears.

"Marco Polo" The Kublai Khan kills the boy emperor to show the power of his throne

“Marco Polo” can be seen streaming online over at “Netflix.” TV season 2 has begun and the third episode is called, “Measure Against the Linchpin.” It stars, Lorenzo Richelmy (Marco Polo), Benedict Wong (Kublai Khan), Joan Chen (Empress Chabi), Remy Hii (Prince Jingim) & Tom Wu (Hundred Eyes).

“Measure Against the Linchpin" opened with the killing of the boy emperor. He was the last heir to the throne of the Song Dynasty. Kublai Khan decided to kill him to secure his future as a ruthless world leader. The city riots in the streets for weeks and Khan has nightmares. He brings Marco to a high mountain to seek some answers. The female warrior (Michelle Yeoh) holds a knife to Mei Lin's neck who strikes a deal for revenge of the boy's death.

Kaidu sends a message with the ambush of Jingim. Kokachin lost another baby, but Empress Chabi makes a plan so that Khan will have an heir. (Joan Chen is very good in her role as Chabi).

"Dateline" pre-empted this week because of U.S. Olympic Trials 2016

DATELINE on NBC. This week NBC Sports will continue it's coverage of the U.S. Olympic trials 2016. Top athletes will compete to land a spot on the USA team in each sport to reach the Games at "Rio."

"America's Got Talent" 2016 Christopher puts on Native Headdress for puppet show

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT on NBC. The 2016 auditions have begun and "only" the best will get to the second round. Thousands of talent acts have been turned away to break down those who deserve $1,000,000 and a Las Vegas headline show at Las Vegas, Nevada.

If you remember the 1970's singing group, "The Village People." Then, you might like Christopher's audition. He always wanted to be a part of a band or group, but ended up creating a puppet "Lip Sync" act. He danced onstage with four puppets filling out his village people. He dressed up as the stereotypical Native American in the headdress, beads and breech cloth. He performed the huge disco hit "YMCA."

He had the audience up on their feet and dancing. The judges liked him too and sent him onto the second round. But, everything changes in that second round because the performers have to perform only for the judges. Many crack under pressure and are sent home. It separates the top talent from the rest.

“Marco Polo” can be seen streaming online over at “Netflix.” TV season 2 has begun and the second episode is called, “Hug.” It stars, Lorenzo Richelmy (Marco Polo), Benedict Wong (Kublai Khan), Joan Chen (Empress Chabi), Remy Hii (Prince Jingim) & Tom Wu (Hundred Eyes).

“Hug” opened with Mei Lin and Marco bringing the boy emperor back to Kublai Khan. The mysterious female warrior (Michelle Yeoh) follows them and wants the boy. Kaidu is ambitious and wants to be elected as the new leader of the Mongol kingdom. Kublai Khan hopes that the chieftains in each province will support him. Christianity spreads among the Mongol people. Marco is shocked that Kokachin has married Prince Jingim. (He fell in love with her in the 1st TV season).

The production design is excellent and the period costumes are exact. Joan Chen is striking as well as beautiful.

CBS says, "As police begin to focus on the Hawthorne family's possible connection to the "Silver Bells Killer," Cam attempts to erase his past while Garrett reconnects with his. Also, Alison's campaign seeks the support of local professional football player Stephen Gostkowski, but the endorsement is complicated by the risky actions of one of her siblings."

"Marco Polo" Kublai Khan expands his empire who meets another challenge

“Marco Polo” can be seen streaming online over at “Netflix.” Season 2 has begun and the first episode is called, “Hunter and the Sable Weaver.” At the end of the first TV season. Kublai Khan found out that Jia Sidao sent his sister Mei Lin to pose as a concubine lover to him. Jia wanted reports on Kahn's movements who kept Mei's child as a hostage. Khan attacked Jia's city to gain control over the world. “Hundred Eyes” killed Jia and Mei Lin was held as a prisoner of Khan.

“Hunter and the Sable Weaver” has Mei Lin hiding in south China who wants to get to the boy emperor of the Song Dynasty. Marco follows her as she looks for that boy who hides from Khan. The great Kublai sits on his throne who has joined north and south China in unity. His son Prince Jingim is getting married. Byamba is Kahn's son from a concubine. He sends a message saying that Kaidu wants to be the next leader of the Mongol warriors.

"48 Hours" Politician accused of killing his blonde lover

"48 Hours" (CBS) was seen Saturday evening at 9/8 p.m. It aired at 8 p.m. (central time) in Albuquerque, NM on KRQE 13. Last night's episode on July 2, 2016 was called, "Power and Passion." In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 2.39 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.4 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “In an Instant" (ABC) grabbed 3.16 overall & 0.5 with adults (9-11 p.m.). “NASCAR Sprint Cup" (NBC) nabbed 5.21 overall & 1.1 with adults (8-11 p.m.).

"48 Hours" is an investigative program that covers crime & murder in the United States. Last night's episode was reported and narrated by Richard Schlesinger.

Angel Downs had a 6 year affair with a politician named, Stephen Nodine, who would not leave his wife. Angel tried to break it off several times and he would get out-of-control angry. She was found shot in the head of her home driveway in May of 2010. Stephen called it a suicide. Angel's family claim that he killed her because she was leaving him once and for all. He was the last person to see her when his truck was seen leaving her neighborhood.

"Dateline" A missing woman turns out to be working for the CIA

"Dateline" (NBC) can be seen each Friday evening at 10/9 p.m. It aired in Albuquerque, NM at 9 p.m. (central time) on KOB 4. Last night's episode on July 1, 2016 was called, "Missing Marie." In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 3.87 million TV viewers overall. It reached 0.8 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic (repeat). "Blue Bloods" (CBS) grabbed 5.19 overall & 0.6 with adults (repeat). “20/20" (ABC) nabbed 4.58 overall & 0.9 with adults.

“Dateline” is an investigative program focusing on crime & murder in the United States. The reporter and narrator of this episode is Josh Mankiewicz.

Marie went missing on Friday Nov. 11, 1994. The FBI confirmed that she was working as a CIA code worker. They believe she was either kidnapped or went to the other side (Russia) since the Cold War was still raging. Yet, her husband Andre put up missing flyers at a beach where police found Marie's missing car. It took decades to bring a person to justice.

"EXAMINER" will shut down July, 10, 2016

EXAMINER NEWS online internet. I was quite surprised when I checked my Email "In-Box." My boss at "Examiner.com" told me that our online news source is shutting down. I just celebrated my 4th anniversary too. All of us writers can no longer submit writing content. The reason is unclear, but our newspaper cannot compete with other Internet content.

I had written over 1,000 news articles on Native Culture and in the last year on TV Crime. As of Saturday July 2, 2016. I am ranked number "#1" and number "#2" for Top Albuquerque Examiners. In-fact, I've been number #1 for the last 10 months. 

As of Saturday July 2, 2016. I am ranked number "#5" for Top Art and Culture Examiners. I am ranked number #63 for Top Arts and Entertainment Examiners because of my TV Crime articles.

I learned a lot with writing news and I'm grateful for the opportunity to write on Native Culture in the Southwest. I had a good fan base of readers and at least I'm going out on top at Albuquerque. I will continue to write here at my Blog, but without pay because I enjoy my Blog. I don't know if I want to go to another online news source. All of my articles will be taken down July 10, 2016. I already made copies though. Thank you all for reading my articles. It has been fun.
