RUSH HOUR on CBS begins this Thursday at 10/9 p.m. I will TV recap this new crime show which is based on the movies that starred Chris Tucker & Jackie Chan. The reviews are coming in & they are not good. Of course the Internet critics bashed the idea when CBS took on the TV pilot. I am a big fan of the movies & have them all on BluRay. The TV version has very young actors playing the lead roles. Tucker & Chan were in their late 30's, early 40's when they first teamed back in 1998.
CBS will see how RUSH HOUR does in the TV ratings before putting it on the schedule for the Fall TV season. The network moved "Elementary" to Sunday night's to make room for this TV crime show. (Fans of "Elementary" weren't happy about it either). I stated that the freshman shows on CBS were renewed. I was wrong after reading several other reports. CBS had renewed only 11 veteran TV shows last week.
