HAWAII FIVE-0 on CBS. It turns out that Daniel Dae Kim (Chin Ho) and Grace Park (Kono) couldn't come to agreements with CBS over pay salaries for the 8th TV season. One or both would've gotten 10 to 15 percent less than Alex O' Loughlin (Steve McGarrett) and Scott Caan (Danno). This was reported by "Variety" when news broke that the two regulars quit the TV crime show.
CBS has announced that Chin Ho and Kono will not return for the Fall TV season premiere on Sept. 29, 2017. Their characters will be addressed in the story line from the get go. (Too bad because all four lead characters had good chemistry).
