'SAG-AFTRA' union meetings always heated no matter what year

I am a SAG-AFTRA union member and I served on the "SAG Awards" nominating committee for Television back in 2011. I've appeared on several TV shows, but only as a union background extra. I went to my first Los Angeles SAG union meeting back in 2009 and it was a "Doozy...!" It was a screaming match between opposing members and hardly anything got done. That was my last and I also stopped going to any SAG-AFTRA meetings for Native Americans because I'm Native. The main problem is that a lot of actors are Out-of-Work and many are frustrated. They all want to be heard and cannot control their anger. And...it gets pretty nasty...,

The SAG-AFTRA elections are under way for the national elections and in local U.S., states. Actors and actresses are divided -- past and present -- on every issue. SAG-AFTRA had to change their rules completely at union meetings. It still hasn't controlled the recent outbursts from members running for elected positions in 2017.

SAG-AFTRA is now a bigger union thanks to the Internet. There are more jobs for television because there were 400 TV series up for nominations with the Emmy Awards 2017. There are more independent films, long and short, who are hiring actors with ultra low budgets. This includes commercials for TV, but mainly the Internet. That means there are more union members joining every year, but less than half vote in the Elections and for the SAG Awards. The division among union members will continue...,
